- אָכְלָהII, אֹוכְלָה f. (אָכַל 2) occupied space. Kil. II, 10 Y. ed. אָכְלַת הגפן (Mish. ed. אֲכִילַת; Y. Gem. 28a> אוֹכְלַת) the soil occupied by the vine roots, א׳ הקבר the ground needed for the formation of the cave, i. e. as far as the roots extend.
